Dr. Maria Kyriakou
My name is Maria, i am 28 years old, i studied Nursing at the Cyprus University of Technology from 2014 through 2019. I currently work as a Team Leader Nurse at Ygia Polyclinic in the Paediatric department. My job is to provide care for patients and help them get through their daily challenges. I help train new staff to be better and more resilient in the workplace. Regarding my responsibilities at work, i can set up drips and blood transfusions, i participate in pain management for children, i can identify changes in children’s symptoms and intervene in emergency situations. Also i can administer medication and injections using age-appropriate guidelines, i draw blood and can collect all sorts of samples if asked by the doctors. Lastly i can write reports and update records before my shift ends.
