Dr. Despina Mallouri
Dr Despoina Mallouri is a hematologist with particular expertise in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies. She studied at the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki on a scholarship. She completed her specialty training in Hematology at the Department of Hematology and the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Unit of “George Papanikolaou” General Hospital in Thessaloniki, one of the leading transplantation centres in Greece. She worked for 14 years as a Consultant in the Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Unit of George Papanikolaou Hospital, Thessaloniki. She has extensive experience in autologous and allogeneic transplantation from all donor types, as well as in CAR-T cell therapies. She has participated in publications, poster and oral presentations, and has been an invited speaker in this field. Since December 2022, she has been the Head Physician of the Transplantation Unit at the German Medical Institute in Limassol.
