Dr. Haris Varnava is a German board-certified Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeon with special interest and great dedication to natural breast reconstruction after mastectomy, aesthetic breast surgery, body sculpting procedures and minimally invasive facial treatments.
He was born in Limassol, he studied at the 3rd primary school, at Athenaidio Gymnasium and the Apostles Peter and Paul High School in Limassol. After finishing school and after completing his military service, he moved to Thessaloniki where he studied medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
After completing his studies in Greece, he went to Germany, specifically Düsseldorf, to pursue his specialisation. He was trained initially in general surgery and then in plastic surgery, obtaining both specialty titles. For the last five years he has worked at Münster University Hospital and at the same time at the Fachklinik Hornheide specialist clinic as a consultant.
He actively participated in German and International conferences presenting topics on breast reconstruction after mastectomy, breast lift and various microsurgical subjects. His scientific articles have been published in internationally recognised scientific journals and he continues to be a scientific associate of the University of Münster in Germany.
He is one of the first plastic surgeons who have been involved with clinical cases and research related to robotic microsurgery, particularly in its applications in breast reconstruction after mastectomy, holding the corresponding training certificate. Additionally, he holds a certificate from the German Academy of Mastology. He is a member of the German Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery and a member of the German Society of Mastology.
In the context of his research activity, he was particularly concerned with the quality of life of women after breast reconstruction after mastectomy.
In 2024, he returned to Cyprus after 20 years. He maintains a medical practice at the MEDICA Medical Centre, where, in modern facilities and a friendly and pleasant environment, he welcomes patients with a focus on consistently delivering high-quality healthcare and optimal services.
