Dr.Andreas Loizos Kyriacou
Dr. Andreas Kyriacou is a Consultant Cardiologist specialising in Interventional Arrhythmia and Cardiac Devices. He is the Head of Electrophysiology and Complex Cardiac Devices at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UK) and collaborates with GMI since 2023 offering arrhythmia services including consultations and ablation procedures. He graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2001 and trained at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. In 2008 he was awarded a prestigious British Heart Foundation (BHF) Clinical Research Training Fellowship, during which he completed his PhD at Imperial College London. He is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and the first Cypriot Cardiologist to be awarded the Fellowship of the European Heart Rhythm Association (FEHRA). His team in Sheffield has received the Atrial Fibrillation Pioneers Award from the AF Association UK and the Team of the Year Award from the British Heart Rhythm Society.
