Dr. Nikolaos Spernovasilis
Dr. Nikolaos Spernovasilis is the Director of the first standalone Infectious Diseases Department in Cyprus. He holds a PhD from the University of Crete and an MSc in Public Health, with specialist expertise in infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, and infections in vulnerable populations including immunocompromised patients, pregnant women, the elderly, and refugees. He is an active researcher with multiple published clinical trials and PubMed publications, a faculty member of two major European infection control bodies, and Country Manager of Cyprus for the International Society for Infectious Diseases in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISIDOG).
