Dr. Ioannis Tsechelides
Dr. Ioannis Tsechelides is a Nuclear Medicine Physician specialising in PET/CT imaging and radioembolisation of malignant hepatic lesions. He graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and completed his Nuclear Medicine specialty training at Ippokrateion General Hospital of Thessaloniki. He subsequently worked at the University Hospital Erasme ULB in Brussels, Belgium, where he reported the full spectrum of nuclear medicine examinations including PET/CT and scintigraphies, and became the reference radioisotopist for hepatic radioembolisation. He joined the German Oncology Institute in December 2017, where he plays a key role in the PET/CT section — a diagnostic service that was introduced to Cyprus for the first time by this department. He has 5 peer-reviewed international publications.
