Dr. Giannis Thrasyvoulou
Dr. Giannis Thrasyvoulou is an Otorhinolaryngologist and Head & Neck Thyroid Surgeon with extensive surgical experience and international training at leading UK teaching hospitals. He graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School on a full state scholarship and subspecialised in complex head & neck and thyroid surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital (Cambridge) and St George’s Hospital (London). Upon returning to Cyprus, he worked for 7 years at Nicosia General Hospital where he established the head & neck surgery programme, with particular focus on laryngeal cancer (laser surgery and laryngectomy). He is a Fellow of the International Federation of Head & Neck Societies (IFHNOS), a member of the European Rhinology Society and European Academy of Neurotology, and a member of the examining board of the European Exams for Otolaryngology since 2020. He has 13+ publications in international journals and regularly serves as a peer reviewer.
