Dr. Iosif Strouthos
Dr. Iosif Strouthos is a Radiation Oncologist and Deputy Director of the Radiation Oncology Department at the German Medical Institute in Limassol. Born and raised in Larnaca, he studied medicine at Charles University in Prague and subsequently completed his radiation oncology residency in Germany at Klinikum Chemnitz, Sana Klinikum Offenbach, and the University Clinic of Freiburg, where he trained under leading scientists including Prof. Nikolaos Zamboglou and Prof. Anca-Ligia Grosu. He obtained his Doctorate from Goethe University Frankfurt on HDR-Brachytherapy as monotherapy for localised prostate cancer (2018). He has been Board Certified in Radiation Oncology in Germany since 2017 and joined the German Oncology Center in Limassol in August 2018. His clinical and research focus encompasses brachytherapy (prostate, breast, liver, urethra, brain), SBRT, PSMA-PET guided radiotherapy, and photobiomodulation therapy. He is a member of ESTRO’s UroGEC group and has 18+ peer-reviewed publications and 20+ conference abstracts.
