Dr. Pantelitsa Paraskeva Petsidou was born in occupied Morphou and is married to the distinguished Director and General Surgeon of “METROPOLITAN HOSPITAL” in Piraeus, Dr. Marios Paraskeva. She is the mother of our twin doctors, Anastasia and Eleni Paraskeva. Dr. Pantelitsa graduated from high school with top honors, securing a scholarship to the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she obtained her Medical Degree with the grade “Excellent,” and specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Tzaneio Hospital of Piraeus.
She attended seminars in psychosomatic and psychoprophylactic obstetrics using the RAT (Respiratory Autogenic Training) method, an ELKEPA educational program on the use of lasers in medicine, a seminar on non-surgical methods of in vitro fertilization, seminars of the Hellenic Society of Fertility and Sterility, various postgraduate obstetrics–gynecology symposia, scientific conferences in Greece and abroad, as well as all annual Panhellenic Medical Congresses. Additionally, she underwent further training in the hysteroscopy department of “Alexandra” Maternity Hospital, as well as training in “Information Technology” topics for public administration executives.
Throughout her service at “Elena Venizelou” Maternity Hospital, she participated in all the clinic’s educational courses and played an active role in training medical residents and midwives. She also worked weekly in the Colposcopy Department and was the only woman in the past 30 years to be appointed Director of a gynecological clinic in that hospital.
Over the course of her career, she has published numerous papers and presentations.
