Dr. Dimitrios Vassilakis was born and raised inĀ Sinarades, Corfu.
He spent his student years on the island of Corfu and after graduating from the 2nd Lyceum of Corfu he left to study Medicine in Italy.
He returned from Italy with a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of BariĀ as well as withĀ the corresponding license to practice.
Having served his military service and part ofĀ hisĀ field service at the General Prefectural Hospital of Corfu, he began practicing his specialty inĀ RadiologyĀ at the same Hospital.
During the waiting time for the 2nd part ofĀ obtaining hisĀ specialty, he came to Cyprus where he worked as an intern Doctor at Larnaca General Hospital.
This was followed by the completion of his specialty at the Radiology Department of the A.H.E.P.A Hospital and part of it at the Papanikolaou andĀ TheageneioĀ Hospitals of Thessaloniki.
After he successfully completed his Specialisation inĀ Radiology, heĀ wentĀ abroad, specifically to England where he started working as aĀ RadiologistĀ Specialist,Ā in the Radiology Department of Newham University Hospital, London.
It has been a few yearsĀ he returned to Cyprus where he gradually joined GESY and successively worked in Radiology Departments of Private HospitalsĀ as well asĀ other Radiology CentresĀ in Cyprus.
The Doctor recently joinedĀ MEDICA Medical CentreĀ Medical Team,Ā as part of theĀ Centreās Radiology DepartmentĀ openingĀ and operation.
