Dr. Dimitrios Vassilakis was born and raised in Sinarades, Corfu.
He spent his student years on the island of Corfu and after graduating from the 2nd Lyceum of Corfu he left to study Medicine in Italy.
He returned from Italy with a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bari as well as with the corresponding license to practice.
Having served his military service and part of his field service at the General Prefectural Hospital of Corfu, he began practicing his specialty in Radiology at the same Hospital.
During the waiting time for the 2nd part of obtaining his specialty, he came to Cyprus where he worked as an intern Doctor at Larnaca General Hospital.
This was followed by the completion of his specialty at the Radiology Department of the A.H.E.P.A Hospital and part of it at the Papanikolaou and Theageneio Hospitals of Thessaloniki.
After he successfully completed his Specialisation in Radiology, he went abroad, specifically to England where he started working as a Radiologist Specialist, in the Radiology Department of Newham University Hospital, London.
It has been a few years he returned to Cyprus where he gradually joined GESY and successively worked in Radiology Departments of Private Hospitals as well as other Radiology Centres in Cyprus.
The Doctor recently joined MEDICA Medical Centre Medical Team, as part of the Centre‘s Radiology Department opening and operation.
